Although it is one of the reference books regarding the provincial past and concerted past, it is still evident that it was – and is – a work that requires a precise fit in its time, to better understand the modes and manners that Alzola uses to analyze, with the intention of substantiating opinion at the time, the economic and administrative reality that he had to live through. That is why two specialists, Dr. Susana Serrano and Dr. Rafael López, have been in charge of contextualizing, respectively, the person and the work in order to better understand one and the other.
