This article focuses on the first year of the Civil War in the Basque Country, from the summer of 1936 to the summer of 1937, a decisive historical juncture in which Euskadi was going to be born from a legal-political point of view with the entry into force of the Statute of Autonomy and the formation of the first Basque Government in October 1936.
