The European economic crisis has brought to light that existing governance structures and institutions in Europe exhibit a number of substantial shortcomings. As result of this evidence, some aspects of these governance structures have to be revised and adjusted in order to make the European Union more resilient to shocks, more sustainable in terms of public finances, and more flexible for adapting to challenges.
The policy report summarizes and connects the findings of six Working Papers.
